Alicia has been professionally training dogs since 2009. Alicia believes in using humane, science based methods for training.
Alicia has been professionally training for over 18 years and has a passion for helping dogs be the best they can be. She started her training journey at a big box store where she helped many dogs in group classes and private classes. Along with helping the dogs in the community, she also trained other trainers to become successful in the business. In 2015, she partnered with Tiffany Jourdain with Dog Training Pluto's Way and then eventually her husband, Andrew joined the team.

She has extensive experience training service dogs, therapy dogs, aggressive/reactive dogs, and dogs for protection work. Alicia enjoys training dogs not only in obedience, but in detection, tracking, and American Politiehond Association (APA). In 2022, she trialed her dog in APA and received the highest score in the program. Her dog still holds that highest title. This led her to become a judge for the sport in 2024.
Over 10 Years of Dog Training Experience
Andrew Burr has been training professionally for ten years. After falling in love with his wife in 2011, Andrew fell in love with dog training. In 2016, he joined Alicia as a full time dog trainer for Dog Training Pluto's Way. He has a passion for training and helping dogs and their owners succeed and build a connection. He has experience training obedience, therapy dogs, nose work, and protection training. Andrew also has a passion for American Politiehond Association (APA) and is a level three decoy for the sport. This is the highest level a decoy can receive.

We are available for demonstrations for schools, nursing homes, boy/girl scout troops, colleges, and any other public events for no charge in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina
